Position:
You will be working alongside the Mine Manager while directly reporting to the Registered Manager. Ideally you will oversee three underground and one open-pit mine. There will be 20 subordinates and two Area Mine Geologists reporting directly to you. You will contribute to the profitability of the mine, Implement and maintain mine geology systems and processes. Experience working with narrow vein will be highly regarded.
Training and Career Progression:
You will be provided with ongoing training and mentoring from experienced geologist specialists within the hard rock and gold mining sector. With various underground and open-pit mines you will have the option to expand your knowledge by working with various declines, slopes and narrow vein mining. There will be monthly presentations from national and international speakers that will provide you with further knowledge and understanding of effective geology practices. The career progression structure and mentoring plan will ensure you reach your professional goals.
Your success in this role is guaranteed due to your:
- Geology Degree
- Proven experience in senior management
- JORC Competent
- Proven ability to develop and build a strong Geology team
- Current West Australian C Class Drivers License
- Effective communication and report writing skills
- Demonstrated experience delivering geological services
- Ability to Resource the Modeling of mine
- Narrow Vein
- Surpac or Datamine
