Senior Emergency Department Registrars and Consultants in Emergency – Required for an excellent opportunity in Western Australia

Healthcare Australia is currently looking to recruit Senior ED Registrars and Consultants in Emergency for permanent posts with many clients based across the state of Western Australia. Salaries will depend on experience.

You will be provided full support in the application and relocation process.

The Consultants must be able to provide the full range of Emergency Medical assessment services necessary to meet the needs of patients under the care of the unit/s remit. The working week will comprise 40-50 hours including an on-call commitment to meet the requirements of the unit/s.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Post
To carry out necessary duties to ensure the best and most cost effective treatment of patients.
To provide a full range of specialist diagnosis, treatment and care to patients who require clinical assessment services and ensure care which is responsive to patient needs and to changes in workload.
To partake in the on-call rota for Emergency Medicine and to provide cross-cover for Consultant colleagues during their absence.
To provide first line senior medical support to the RMOs, both within normal working hours and as part of the on-call rota
To undertake all necessary administrative duties associated with the care of his/her patients, including but not limited to clinical coding, discharge summaries, letters and reports
To participate in the Centres audit and clinical governance programme.
To contribute to the development of Clinical Quality Standards.
To contribute to the planning and development of emergency services.
To contribute to the teaching of Centre staff.

Requirements:
Broad emergency clinical experience.
Ability to take full and independent responsibility for the clinical care of patients.
Ability to form constructive and effective professional relationships with existing consultants and staff.
Ability to work within a multi-cultural environment.
Ability to communicate well with patients and staff, both orally and in writing.
