We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Underground Mining Superintendent to join our operation in Western NSW. Reporting to the Mining Manager and supported by a Technical Services Team, this role will see you responsible for the Production and Development of all underground operations with a focus on creating a high performance culture and ensuring that all targets are met through safe and efficient mining activities.

The role will include :
- Daily and weekly planning of Underground Mining activities in order to meet production targets
- Professional development of the Underground Mining team
- Monitoring development and production statistics in order to provide periodic variance reports as well as collating data for daily and weekly reports
- Ensuring that all statutory requirements relating to mine safety and compliance are strictly adhered to, ensuring a safe and effective operation
- Maintain relationships and communications between contractors and external service providers to ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled
- Be aware of opportunities for continuous improvement within the underground mining operation
The candidate will possess:
- Extensive experience as an Underground Mining Supervisor
- 3+ years experience with base and semi-precious metals
- Qualifications relevant to this position – Cert III or higher in Underground Metalliferous Mining, Frontline management, etc
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to motivate staff
- A positive and innovative attitude to Underground Mining Operations
